World Food Azerbaijan - opening doors to a growing market

World Food Azerbaijan will be taking place on 19-21 May in the Heydar Aliyev Sport and Exhibition Complex, located in the centre of Azerbaijan’s capital city, Baku.

The exhibition comprises all sectors of the food and drink industry and features a wide variety of products from Azerbaijan and abroad.  In addition to the main exhibition, this year’s event will feature sections dedicated to drinks, seafood, food technology and packaging, as well as a new sector for halal food.  Halal food represents a huge market in Azerbaijan, reported to be worth $580 billion in 2008. The food industry gathers at World Food Kazakhstan - The largest exhibition for Kazakhstan’s food market

On 3-6 November, Almaty hosted the 12th Central Asian International Food Industry Exhibition – World Food Kazakhstan 2009.

The event featured 154 exhibitors from 29 countries, covering all aspects of the food industry, including food, drinks, agriculture, technology, ingredients and packaging.  There were also a number of national groups at the exhibition from Germany, South Korea, Latvia, Lithuania and Kyrgyzstan.  In total, 3193 visitors attended the exhibition.
