Companies flock to Kazakhstan for the annual World Food Kazakhstan exhibitio

The Russian food market came out in force for this year’s World Food Moscow exhibition, proving that meeting the market is crucial for sustaining a successful business during difficult trading times. The event achieved an increase of 15% in unique visitors, compared to 2008, and a total attendance of 53,988.

This year featured names such as Alexport, Danish Meat Association, El Gebaly Fruit Company, Sopexa, Vlam, Sri Lanka Tea Board, Chocolate World, DEP Thailand, Cyprus Trade Centre, US Meat, USDA, Proexport, Macfrut and EU Cheese Please. In total, World Food Moscow hosted 1,096 companies from 55 different countries.

Tony Higginson, the International Event Director for World Food Moscow, comments, “Markets are changing rapidly at the moment and, as a meeting place for the whole market, World Food Moscow proved a popular way of staying in touch with the industry. Every year, thousands of visitors come to the exhibition and this is testament to our exhibitors’ hard work in developing exciting new products to satisfy Russia’s growing demand for food and drink. We have already started work on the 2010 event, and, as the global markets start to recover, I am confident that the value of World Food Moscow as a source of new opportunities will continue to be recognised by companies
all over the world, leading to an even greater variety of food products at World Food Moscow 2010”.

World Food Moscow 2010 will take place on 14-17 September 2010 in Russia’s best known exhibition centre, Expocentre, located in the heart of Moscow.
